Student Work

"Produce, produce!... Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy whole might."

English

Our comprehensive and interactive English Language Arts classes will bring the subject to life. Students who have difficulty writing or picking up a book will be guided through an engaging learning process that makes writing and reading less intimidating and relatable. A combination of writing, reading comprehension, syntax, grammar, and vocabulary will be studied in-depth throughout the course of the year. Classic short stories, speeches, essays, and poetry will also be analyzed.

Math

This year we are focusing on teaching two classes: Pre-Algebra and Algebra. Students will learn 2-3 lessons per class from the textbook and will be assigned homework by the teacher. Unit tests will also be administered to keep track of progress and to identify strengths and areas of improvement.

Public Speaking

Students participate in 3 public speaking engagements per year, including Andalusia Academics' annual speech and debate.

I was a student at Andalusia Academic for 5 years Alhamdulillah, and it played a major role in my academic and life success. Learning core skills like writing, research, speech, and poetry in an Islamic setting was a transformative experience, both on a personal and academic level. I was so excited to go to class every single day, and grew to not only learn, but love what I was learning.

The English tutoring sessions I received from Andalusia Academics significantly improved my reading comprehension and writing skills. After every session, I looked forward to the next one because Mr. Sadat made learning fun. I highly recommend his services.

I had a fantastic experience with Andalusia Academics. The sessions were highly engaging, covering grammar, writing, vocabulary, and public speaking, all while setting motivating weekly goals. Through these sessions, I improved significantly and was thrilled to be exposed to college-level reading, which advanced my skills considerably. One of the most memorable aspects was the poetry we would read, annotate, and memorize. I still remember the meaning behind some of the works we studied, such as "The Eagle" and "The Tell-Tale Heart". I would highly recommend Andalusia Academics to anyone looking to improve their academic skills!

Br. Haseeb was an exceptional tutor who not only improved my understanding of the English language but also inspired me to explore and enjoy literature in ways I never thought possible. His engaging lessons and patient guidance made learning enjoyable and profoundly impactful. Br Haseeb's class provided me with the analytical tools to tackle any piece of English literature, a skill I appreciate more with each passing day. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would choose Andalusia Academics without hesitation to benefit from his vast well of knowledge.

I enjoyed the interactive nature of this class, which not only taught us essential English skills but also nurtured a tight-knit community grounded by Islamic values. Many of the students I met at Andalusia Academics have become lifelong friends. My writing skills improved significantly through Br. Haseeb's unique curriculum encouraged critical thinking and equipped us with the confidence to write effectively in various styles. I still fondly remember our fun speech sessions and how Br. Haseeb emphasized the importance of "show not tell". Brother Haseeb’s passion for youth work and his dedication to guiding his students to succeed as future leaders is what truly sets Andalusia Academics apart from any other tutoring center. His class shaped me into a more confident writer, speaker, and Muslimah. Alhamdulillah
